Western Governors University offers two dental plans with Cigna, the DPPO and the DHMO. Both plans cover preventive care in full with no deductible or copayment. When selecting your dental plan, make sure to verify that your provider participates in either a Cigna DPPO plan or a Cigna DHMO plan.

Here’s how to make the most of your dental benefits:

  • Choose a network provider. Each time you need dental care, you have a choice of providers. Selecting a Cigna participating dentist will ensure you receive the highest benefits from your plan. To find a provider, go to the Cigna website.
  • Present your plan identification. Give your provider's office the information they need to bill your insurance. The group number is 3339988 and your member identification number can be found on your Cigna insurance card. You can download your digital ID card to your phone through myCigna.com and the myCigna app.
  • Submit for a pretreatment estimate. For more information, call Cigna at 800-244-6224 or visit the Cigna website.
  • Check your claim status. You can review Explanation of Benefits (EOB) statements, check if claims have been paid, and more on the Cigna website.
